Changing a flight ticket: understanding the fees

A ticket that allows changes does not necessarily allow free changes. The amount payable may include a change fee, the difference in fare and an applicable service fee.

Before buying, check the rules for changes before and after departure, as well as no-show conditions. Changing a date, correcting a passenger name and transferring a ticket to someone else are different requests.

AEGEAN’s rules show that some fares allow changes without a change fee, while any difference in fare may still be payable. This example does not establish a common fee for all airlines. Official source.

To request a change, contact us in chat or call and tell us your preferred new date. Our team will help clarify the conditions. Sending a request does not mean the current ticket has already been changed or cancelled.

For help with a particular ticket, contact us in chat or call us (see Contact details).

What to include in a change request

Tell us your preferred new date and which flight segment you want to change. Before accepting the amount, clarify what the quote includes: the airline change fee, fare difference and service fee. The final quote must apply to your particular ticket.

Until our team confirms that the change is complete, do not treat the requested date as a changed ticket. If the conditions are unclear, contact us in chat or call us (see Contact details).
