Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) is the SkyTeam hub for Western Europe and the fastest connection point from Georgia to the United States. KLM does not currently fly direct from Tbilisi, so most TBS-AMS itineraries route via Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Frankfurt, or Munich (Lufthansa). Direct Georgian Airways service to AMS resumed seasonally in 2024-25. Schiphol is one of the most efficient airports in Europe: single terminal, fast immigration, Schengen transfer in 30-45 minutes, and clear English signage everywhere. Onward KLM and Delta connections cover the entire US East Coast, Toronto, and major South American cities. For Georgian travelers, Amsterdam itself rewards a 2-3 night stop: canals, Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, and easy day trips to Haarlem and Utrecht.
