Frankfurt is Lufthansa's primary hub and one of two direct German destinations from Tbilisi (Munich is the other). Lufthansa operates 5-7 weekly TBS-FRA rotations on Airbus A320neo aircraft, and Georgian Airways adds 2-3 weekly direct flights. From FRA, Star Alliance + Lufthansa Group reach 250+ destinations - more than any other European hub from a single carrier. For Georgian travelers connecting onward to the US, Frankfurt offers more transatlantic frequency than Munich, with 6+ daily departures to New York alone. The trade-off is transit complexity: FRA terminals A, B, and C cover huge walking distances (up to 45 minutes between gates) and Schengen-to-non-Schengen transfers require an extra immigration step. Build at least 90 minutes for international transfers, more if checked baggage is involved.
